3. How to Use

3.1 First-time setup (recommended order)

1. Ensure Inventory Management has at least one Warehouse and optional Locations / Bins.
2. Open WMS → Location Types (defaults are seeded) and adjust if needed.
3. Create Zones per warehouse (receiving, storage, pick, shipping…).
4. Add Putaway Rules so received stock gets a suggested bin.
5. Configure WMS → Settings (outbound warehouse, auto-receive/putaway, invoice pick trigger, scanner, API).
6. Grant staff role permissions for the menus they need.

3.2 Inbound flow

1. ASN — create Advance Shipping Notice (manual or from GRN if enabled).
2. Receiving — create / open receiving task, confirm quantities.
3. QC (optional) — inspect lots; hold or release.
4. Putaway — move received qty to storage / pick face using suggested locations.

3.3 Outbound flow

1. Pick wave — group invoices / orders into a wave.
2. Pick tasks — pickers confirm qty from suggested locations (or use Mobile Scanner).
3. Packing — pack picked items into cartons/sessions.
4. Shipment — create shipment, add tracking, mark shipped.

3.4 Inventory operations

• Cycle count — create count, enter counted qty, post variance if enabled.
• Replenishment — generate tasks when pick faces are low.
• Slotting — review ABC / velocity recommendations.
• Cross-dock — link inbound to outbound for fast turnaround.

3.5 Mobile scanner & labels

1. Open WMS → Mobile Scanner.
2. Choose mode (e.g. Pick), scan / enter barcode, confirm.
3. Use Barcode Labels to print bin or item labels.

3.6 Analytics

Open WMS → Analytics for KPI dashboard, labor, and slotting views. Export CSV or PDF where available.

Assign under Setup → Staff → Roles. Capabilities are registered per feature:

6. REST API & Webhooks

1. Enable REST API in WMS → Settings.
2. Create a key under WMS → REST API.
3. Send header Authorization: Bearer {token} or X-WMS-API-Key: {token}.
4. Endpoints live under /advanced_wms/api/*.
5. Configure outbound webhooks under WMS → Webhooks.

7. Uninstall

1. Setup → Modules → Deactivate Advanced WMS.
2. Click Uninstall.
3. All tblwms_* tables and wms_* / advanced_wms_* options are removed.

Core Perfex CRM and Inventory Management data are not deleted by this uninstall.
